Chi Studio

Chi Studio is an independent curatorial and research platform founded and directed by curator and writer Chiarina Chen.

Under Chen’s direction, Chi Studio supports the conception, development, and realization of curatorial projects across exhibitions, publications, public programs, and interdisciplinary collaborations. The studio oversees the research, curatorial framing, production coordination, and narrative development of exhibitions, working closely with artists, institutions, and partner spaces internationally.

Chi Studio also serves as a site for long-term research into diasporic subjectivities, forensic aesthetics, slow horror, and posthuman thought, integrating curatorial practice with writing, archival inquiry, and critical dialogue. The studio maintains an evolving archive of texts, visual materials, audio recordings, and documentation related to exhibitions, research processes, and public programs from the earliest stages of Chen’s independent practice to the present.

In addition to exhibition-making, Chi Studio conceives and produces original publications, essays, podcasts, and conversations that extend curatorial inquiry beyond the exhibition space. The studio manages institutional collaborations, project logistics, and communications related to Chen’s curatorial work, and functions as the primary organizational entity for all professional activities associated with her practice.
